What You Will Do

 

  • Guest Welcome / Quality Standards
    • Guarantee optimal welcome and service quality.
    • Welcome guests in person and on the phone.
    • Take reservations over the phone and in person.
    • Inform guests about current rates.
    • Promote the hotel’s various services (breakfast, restaurant, bar).
    • Provide guests with information about the local area (requires a good knowledge of the surroundings).
    • Listen to guests in case of a dispute and report information to your manager.
    • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
    • Follow fire safety regulations.
    • Work as a team (team spirit).
    • Build guest loyalty.
    • Ensure the front desk is always well-maintained (tidiness, cleanliness, etc.).
    • May be required to assist with food and beverage service if needed.
    • May be required to perform minor technical maintenance (remote control batteries, light bulbs, etc.).
  • Administrative Management
    • Handle guest arrivals and departures.
    • Manage billing and payments.
    • Keep guest contact information up to date.
    • Process various sales.
    • Respond to guest requests via the internet (emails, booking.com, Expedia).
    • Verify daily and upcoming arrivals and room assignments.
    • Be responsible for managing your cash float.
